Afrobeats star Davido has disclosed that his wife, Chioma Adeleke, manages his finances, saying he entrusted the responsibility to her because he admits he spends money recklessly.
The singer made the revelation in a video that has since circulated widely on social media. In the clip, Davido was seen attempting to send money to his personal assistant, Lati, but was unable to access his bank account due to what he described as a network or login issue.
Unable to complete the transaction, he called Chioma and asked her to transfer $4,000 to his aide on his behalf.
After the call, his official streamer, Davreltv, asked whether Chioma had taken over the management of his finances.
Responding, Davido confirmed that his wife now oversees his money, explaining that he considers himself a reckless spender and prefers to have someone he trusts keep his finances in order.
He also showered praise on Chioma, describing her as more than just his wife, adding that she has become his “life coordinator” because of the role she plays in organizing both his finances and other aspects of his life.
